Communism, Capitalism, Church, People. Well, technically there is a bit of an overlap, the Christians believe that Jesus Christ and a slew of other martyrs have died for their sins, whilst the Communists believe that it was Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, and a few millions of other people who have died for theirs. The Communist system, in theory is focused on addressing the common denominator human needs vs the Capitalist system which is all about satisfying the diverse human desires, wants, in the open market economy of supply and demand driven by competition of so-called free market forces, again in theory, since in practice, just like in the Communist system, the "Command and Control" is what we have currently in place allover the world. However back to the world of the theoretical distinctions. Hence the two systems form the inherent dichotomy between the private business sector and the public domain represented by the democratic governments, again democratic in theory that is. The organized religions represent the bound minds in a set of believes, the believes are aka the third party reports are different from the actual knowledge attained through the personal experience within the immediate reality, science being open knowledge while magic is closed, hidden knowledge. The intelligence is being able to process information, apply it, and learn from it. Now, the religions back in the day were a form of government and also played big role in the local economy and business. The temples and Churches were a school, a hospital, a sanctuary, a government, a court, a trade centre. As society expanded and formed specific institutions with the specific focus, the role and influence of the religious institutions was reduced to mere rhetoric and matters of self interest and preservation. No more are the days when the Church was the only place of enlightenment, support, and guidance. The times have changed so is the focus of the religious mission, becoming more of a personal spiritual matter, building of communities with a sense of belonging and support for each other, rather than a primordial social glue which originally was used to explain away the irrational events and world phenomena to the rational but brute human mind. Nowadays the whole branches of science fill that void, the governments and big business took over the reigns of power and planning for the future, leaving the Church and other religious places of worship to self reflect and reinvent themselves, now fighting for survival amid themselves, competing for the hearts, minds, and wallets of their devoted followers, just like the Communists and Capitalists alike.
