God of Hosts First, one has to define the terms used, specially when using the loaded words that mean different things to different people. God, aka the God of Hosts, a title according to the Catholic cannon, and i agree, is the physical body, while the good Lord is the conscious mind. with the Great Spirit, or the Holy Ghost, representing the space in between, Latin: Spiritus, means to breathe (in/micro and out/macro), while the Human beings have the soul, feelings/perception of changes in time, along with the ability to exercise the free choice to either aid the needs of God, the host body, their own and that of the others around, their community, the species, the entire planet, and eventually, as the consciousness grows, encompassing the whole universe, or cause harm to the body, intentionally or not, hence the consequences are ripped later for the sawed actions, otherwise, without the free choice there would have been no freedom, no responsibilities, no consequences, only the boring predetermined fates, something that God obviously does not want for the human kind.. The Hell is a metaphor for an unpleasant experience, life, or lives, if one to consider karmic repercussions of their actions during a lifetime to last thereafter effecting future reincarnations of that soul. In dichotomy to Hell is the Heaven, or Paradise, again, another metaphor for a pleasant experience full of joy, happiness, and satisfaction. Eternity is a long time to gamble away unconsciously. Hence the Golden Rule reverberating throughout all religions and cultures, ye get out what ye put in, rip what ye sow, do onto others as ye want to be done onto thee, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, etc. Obviously the message is there for a good reason, and a good reason one must have to perceive it. The consciousness is there therefore to aid in determining the right from wrong, good vs bad, divine vs evil, proper vs improper and so on. The freedom of choice is thus exercised in context of one's spiritual awareness, which determines the quality of the morals and ethics being practised and the kind of lessons one's own subconsciousness would ensue to its conscious self along the way. Live! Prosper! Be Well!
