http://www.cp24.com/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20111105/111105_Assaults_Occupy_Toronto/20111105/   Points of clarification to comments on CP24 website. The Occupy Toronto is a peaceful general assembly of all walks of life and social fabric, symbolically representing the 99% of people in the world, taking place at the St. James park since 15th of October 2011. The camp is setup on the land that was offered by the Anglican Church St. James Cathedral, the adjacent area around the building, and the rest of the park is an ancestral sacred home land and burial grounds of the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation, who are present in the Occupy Toronto camp with their ceremonial sacred fire and elders attending to it 24/7. The Occupy Toronto is part of the global movement originated with the Occupy Wall Street action in September and now spreading world wide involving around 2700 cities and counting. It is the biggest social forum in history enabled by the modern communications technology and the dire need for independent human discussion to address and resolve the impending issues of survival and well being that are effecting people individually, the environment as a whole, and the life on earth as we know it, with profound ramifications stretching from long ago, to the crisis happening now, and far into the future, to negate the root cause and the negative impact from the attacks caused by the private sector profit-driven agendas of unchecked and unregulated by any responsible democratic process activities of multinational corporations, military industrial complex, banking and finance industry, the big pharma and agro, the Inns of Court and the corporate contract law tricksters, private prison industry and the justice system, medical and educational establishments, secret societies, the elites and alike representing the 1% of the world's population. Which would also include the governments of today as they are constantly afflicted by the negative attention of the corporate and private interest lobby groups leaving it no time or desire, or both, to deal with the actual pressing concerns and issues of the day and the ability to fairly represent the public needs and interests, as in, enforcing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, for example, where in article 25 the priorities for the democratic government are clearly defined in focus -- it is to uphold the standards of life adequate for the human dignity and well being, with provisions for basic functions of life and human needs for shelter, clean water and air, nutritious food, etc., clearly defined however widely ignored. The Occupy Toronto camp welcomes all people of all ages and social strata. Here is happening a great public discussion, both locally in camp and globally online 24/7, where concerned citizens from around the world, public sector workers and unions, cultural and visible minorities, environmentalists, punks, anarchists, socialists, capitalists, ideological/political collectives/parties in full spectrum, physically/mentally challenged rights groups, artists/scientists, numerous religious groups, the First Nations representatives, private interest groups, media, and most likely too some secret intelligence spies, hidden agenda spooks, Satanists, good magicians and sorcerers, witches and warlocks, ferries and aliens, you name it, all are here to share their opinions and experiences on private/public matters with local/global focus, private vs public rights and privileges, individual vs corporate freedoms and responsibilities, limited/unlimited supply and demand of resources consumption/production management, situations with pending problems and the available solutions, personal vs group liability, to name a few topics of ongoing debates and heated discussions. This is not a protest it is a peaceful occupation. It is an occupation of a public space, which is located on the First Nation's and Anglican Church's sacred grounds, by the general public to discuss and address issues of private sector corporate negligence and public sector governmental complicity in crimes against humanity and the world at large that effect all of us individually and collectively as a human species. The movement has no specific agenda beyond addressing the obvious faults of the out of control banking system parters in crime with the unethical corporate engagement in the public and environmental affairs of the world. Various interest groups use the Occupy Toronto camp and brand to voice their issues and ideas and to start/end their marches, such as the Robin Hood Tax, Free Tibet, Stop Social Cuts, End Shark Fin Use, etc... marches, demonstrations, parades, meetings, speeches, processions, festivals, celebrations, commemorations, and what not. However, no single group or focus can claim to represent the Occupy Toronto as part of the global movement of the awaken human soul and consciousness.
