Public Services & Private Interests Can public services pay for themselves? Well, it depends on how it is perceived and organized. The distinction shall be made between the essential services that the collective "we" need to use vs. the different individual wants organized into free-market economy driven by the supply and demand. The society should organize its resources to address its basic needs and critical infrastructure for the collective use we have in common, instead of being run by the out of control private sector, whose focus is exclusively on deriving the monetary value from anything in order to make profit. the communism cannot replace capitalism for the same reasons that the public sector cannot replace private sector, or the needs replacing the wants, or common government replacing personal business. Both are necessary parts of the whole, just like walking left and right, breathing in and out, both forums are required to co-exist in the symbiotic relationship in order to function properly and are not mutually exclusive. While the government is focused on the common essential needs and fare representation of its citizenry's public holdings and interests, the private sector is focusing on the different individual wants and to derive monetary value by any legal means necessary. Hence it is the responsibility of the public domain to keep in check the private business and modus operandi. To pick one side over the other is futile struggle to find a balance in the wedged dichotomy which inherently expresses the whole political socioeconomic body and not only some of its parts. It's like choosing to only breathe in or out. in the system based on evil greedy economy no amount of even water or sand, or any other resources, intellectual including, will suffice as the system will inevitably consolidate into evil monopolies soon after causing shortages and crisis, however real or artificial would matter not as the effects of it would be quiet real and significant. the machines or technology are not to blame but the way the priorities are being addressed for our common needs vs different individual interests wants. The need to use resources, things that must be done, is mixed with wanting to derive some perceived monetary value because they can but for no good reason. Technology and tools put to a good use can do much good but with the rotten evil intent at its heart no technology or tool will do much good and blaming things and substances is pointless, stupid too, however attempts at improving our way of doing things and addressing the issues at hand are not futile and can yield much improvement. the trick is not to still try to be part of the animal kingdom, acting like an animal and surviving through competition, but to become human and conscious/thinking member of the human kingdom, who are surviving through collaboration, -- the universal cap stone completing with the four other kingdoms: mineral (earth/body/God), fungi (water/mind/Lord), plants (air/space/Spirit), and animals (fire/time/Soul) the pyramid of life. Besides the point is that the government does not pay for services with the collected taxes but borrows to do so from privately controlled banking system at interest, although it can print its own money interest free, which the banks did not issue the money for, to pay for the interest making it thus impossible to pay off, and instead collecting interest payments from the taxes collected by the government from its citizenry whose economic output serves as a collateral since most of all other equitable resources have been illegally taken over by the controlling psychopaths at the top of the 1% of the population where 67 people control more resources than the rest 3.5 billion people. Naturally this is not democracy but a corporate fascist parasitic dictatorship where the only activity is rewarded that makes money for the ruling elites. My friend Dmytri Kleiner can expand more on this in greater details.
