RaBIT Voting Reform by Alexander Braun 28 November 2013 I was at the Metro Hall where was the http://www.123toronto.ca/ meeting. they reported the ranked elections held in Minneapolis and we had overall very constructive discussion and delicious warm potato latkes with sour cream and apple souse, along with the fruit juices and cookies. The event was organized by Dave Meslin, whom I told about the Condorcet method, aka the ranking system of voting, about a decade ago. Some people i know complained that poor people don't vote much. First, not voting is also a right. Which only means that one chooses to represent themselves, would it be for religious or whatever reasons. Second, if it is good for people then people wouldn't have to be forced to use it or threatened with the fines. If it is shit then no fines in the world will make it smell good. Lead by example. It is "blame the victim" evil strategy. Why care about voting using an outdated electoral system which imposes rule of minority ***holes onto the majority of voters. Even in US they don't use this idiotic First-past-the-post system anymore which only ignorant morons are so ***king excited about. I know that many are not burdened by wisdom so at least they should have decency of listening to people who are wise and know something more than quasi political rhetoric. They are oh so mad about all these *poor* people who, you see, are the problem because they are oh too pessimistic about the bloody political process! Oh the audacity of it all! Farting Right People Are Pessimistic! Why wouldn't they be upset considering how stupid and outdated it is, and obviously not working. Instead of blaming the poor for loosing their interest in the elections, perhaps it is the way the elections are conducted that makes people to become uninterested. If the kid doesn't want to eat food perhaps it is not the fault of the kid but a lousy cook. The bottom line, if the leaders want people to follow them, then they must lead by example, and people will follow on their own accord. Good ideas spread fast and don't need to be enforced or imposed in any way if they are truly good. If we want people to start participate then let's make it so that it is fare, reasonable, and rewarding. The rest will come naturally without much effort. So, it is a start, will see if it is too little too late, well, as long as the babies are popping through like there is no tomorrow then it is not late, however it is too late for many whose life felt short of what it could have been otherwise if not for the destructive evil idiocy of it all. The slavery is abolished however it was replaced with the wage slavery -- that's all. Vote to your heart's content and strife for the better. O:) https://www.google.ca/#q=condorcet+method
