If you don't understand this then you will never grasp the truth behind the workings of the New World Order." Wrong. First, it says in II Corinthians 4:4 god not God, big difference, and in context which i explain at the bottom of this article. Second, never say never, "you will never grasp" is a curse and a very lame at that... In order to understand the passage correctly one needs some background in the divine tutelage. II. Corinthians, 4:2 "... by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God." Now, notice it is said God (Host/body), not Lord (consciousness), and not god, since God is the reference to the Creator God of the Heavens and the Earth (in that order, Gen. 2:3) in seven days of creation, whose title is the God of Hosts, the physical body & needs, life/death critical systems, the foundations, the cause, the beginning and the end. In Hebrew scriptures this Creator God of Hosts is called Elohim, in plural form because it represents both the male and female (yin/yang) principles of the life/death forces; male (yang) order of the host/temple/home symbolised by Yahweh and female (yin) chaos of the nature/nurture, aka Goddess of Love (fertility) and War (destruction/change) Asthoreth. Yahweh "Yahweh was the national god of the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, and appears to have been worshipped only in these two kingdoms. This was unusual in the Ancient Near East but not unknown–the god Ashur, for example, was worshipped only by the Assyrians. His origins are mysterious: his name may be a shortened form of a cultic formula relating to El, the head of the Canaanite pantheon and the original god of Israel (el dū yahwī ṣaba’ôt), "El who creates the hosts", meaning the heavenly army accompanying El as he marched beside the earthly armies of Israel), but the earliest possible occurrence is as a place-name ("land of Shasu of YHW") in an Egyptian inscription from the time of Amenhotep III (1402–1363 BCE), the Shasu being nomads from Midian and Edom. There is considerable support—though not universal—for the view that the Egyptian inscriptions do refer to Yahweh. The question that arises is how he made his way to the north. A widely accepted hypothesis is that traders brought Yahweh to Israel along the caravan routes between Egypt and Canaan (this is called the Kenite hypothesis, after one of the groups involved). The strength of the Kenite hypothesis is the way it ties together various points of data, such as the absence of Yahweh from Canaan, his links with Edom and Midian in the biblical stories, and the Kenite or Midianite ties of Moses; but while it is highly plausible that the Kenites, Midianites and others may have introduced Israel to Yahweh, it is highly unlikely that they did so outside the borders of Israel or under the aegis of Moses, as the Exodus story has it."*1 Asthoreth / Asherah "Solomon paid occasional homage to her honour near Jerusalem (I Kings 11:5; II Kings 23:13). The plural form of her name is Astharoth, and this is used in conjunction with Baal as a collective name for the female divinities of the Canaanites (Judges 2:13; I Samuel 12:10). The biblical place-name Astharoth-Karnaim, i.e. 'Astharoth with the two horns', indicates that a horned goddess was visualized."*2 (p.42) “Between the 10th century BC and the beginning of their exile in 586 BC, polytheism was normal throughout Israel; it was only after the exile that worship of Yahweh alone became established, and possibly only as late as the time of the Maccabees (2nd century BC) that monotheism became universal among Jews. Some biblical scholars believe that Asherah at one time was worshiped as the consort of Yahweh, the national God of Israel. There are references to the worship of numerous gods throughout Kings, Solomon builds temples to many gods and Josiah is reported as cutting down the statues of Asherah in the temple Solomon built for Yahweh. Josiah's grandfather Manasseh had erected this statue. (2 Kings 21:7) Further evidence includes, for example, an 8th-century combination of iconography and inscriptions discovered at Kuntillet Ajrud in the northern Sinai desert where a storage jar shows three anthropomorphic figures and an inscription that refers to "Yahweh ... and his Asherah". The inscriptions found invoke not only Yahweh but El and Baal, and two include the phrases "Yahweh of Samaria and his Asherah" and "Yahweh of Teman and his Asherah." There is general agreement that Yahweh is being invoked in connection with Samaria (capital of the kingdom of Israel) and Teman (in Edom); this suggests that Yahweh had a temple in Samaria, and raises a question over the relationship between Yahweh and Kaus, the national god of Edom. The "Asherah" is most likely a cultic object, although the relationship of this object (a stylised tree perhaps) to Yahweh and to the goddess Asherah, consort of El, is unclear. It has been suggested that the Israelites might consider Asherah as a consort of Baal due to the anti-Asherah ideology which was influenced by the Deuteronomistic History at the later period of Monarchy. In another inscription called "Yahweh and his Asherah", there appears a cow feeding its calf. If Asherah is to be associated with Hathor/Qudshu, it can then be assumed that the cow is what's being referred to as Asherah. William Dever's book Did God Have a Wife? adduces further archaeological evidence—for instance, many female figurines unearthed in ancient Israel—as supporting the view that in Israelite folk religion of the monarchal period, Asherah functioned as a goddess and consort of Yahweh and was worshiped as the Queen of Heaven, for whose festival the Hebrews baked small cakes. The word Asherah is translated in Greek as also, grove, or alse, groves, or occasionally by dendra, trees; Vulgate in Latin provided lucus or nemus, a grove or a wood (thus KJV bible uses grove or groves with the consequent loss of Asherah's name and knowledge of her existence to English language readers of the bible over some 400 years). The association of Asherah with trees in the Hebrew bible is very strong. For example, she is found under trees (1K14:23; 2K 17:10)), is made of wood by human beings (1K 14:15, 2K16:3-4) and is erected by human beings (2K17:1). Trees described as being an asherah or part of an asherah include grapevines, pomegranates, walnuts, myrtles, and willows (Danby:1933:90,176). Asherah poles, which were sacred trees or poles, are mentioned many times in the Hebrew Bible.”*7 Both of these principals are symbiotic dichotomy defining the unity of one being, such as the human body, in the image of God, along with the Holy Spirit (Spiritus means to breathe in Latin) / the Holy Ghost (space) aka Amun/Amen ('the hidden one') who represents the primeval forces of the ancient Egyptian Ogdoad,*8*9 a company of eight primeval gods forming four couples (abyss, darkness, hidden, and eternity/infinity), and the medium within which this unity comes about. "In the Pyramid texts he is already mentioned as a primeval god, in association with his wife Amaunet. In Old Egyptian thought he was the moving agent in the invisible breeze; thus he was venerated as god of the wind and ruler of the air. From the eleventh dynasty onwards, Abraham is Amenemhat I ('Amen is the head') of the 12th dynasty, he is attested as god of Thebes. Here, he coalesces with the sun-god (Re) to become Amun-Re, and, as Thebes increased in power, he became king of the gods and tutelary god of the (Egyptian) empire. In his capacity as primeval god of creation he is venerated in the shape of a goose (the golden goose); otherwise, the ram is his sacred animal (shofar*3 / escape goat), a reference to his function as god of fertility. After the fall of Thebes his cult prospered in Ethiopia and among the oasis dwellers. (see Ammon)."*2 (p.24) The Lord (consciousness) in Hebrew is referred to as Adonai Elohaynu (Lord of Hosts, whose order of focus is from earth to heaven (in that order, Gen. 2:4), and who is the divine child of these two male/female God of Hosts principles, aka the elephant in the room, and who is awake to be "a king for a day" before going to rest for the evening & night/autumn & winter in order to repeat the cycle again the next morning & day/spring & summer. "Adonis -- Originally a Phoenician-Syrian god (the Semitic word 'adon' means 'master' (or Lord)). He embodies vegetation scorched by the heat of the summer sunshine, and was worshipped in the mystic cults as a god who dies and is resurrected. According to Greek legend, he was born from a myrrh tree, (the three wise men brought gifts for Lord Christ (anointed consciousness of God): myrrh (a prefiguring of death and embalming for future resurrection), frankincense (purity of the priestly role), gold (symbolising the divine kingship),*4 into which his mother had been changed. He was the beautiful lover of Aphrodite. When he was killed by a boar while hunting, (reference to the Orion the Hunter constellation with the three belt stars representing the three wise men who pint to the bright star in the East -- Sirius -- which indicates where the Sun is going to rise on the horizon, "On December 24th Sirius does indeed come above the horizon just after sunset when viewed from Jerusalem. The first question one might ask is what year I'm using as a reference point. The answer is simple - it doesn't matter. Sirius always comes over the horizon in the south-southeastern sky just after sunset on December 24th. In fact, Sirius appears in the eastern sky after sunset in November and in January as well."*5) the goddess caused the Adonis rose to spring up from the blood, and she was able to secure his release from the underworld for six months in the year. The seeds of the so-called Adonis garden grow readily in a bowl or a box, and their blossoming and rapid withering were seen as symbolizing the life and death of the god. Adonis was taken over by the Etruscans under the name of Atunis."*2 (p.7) The Elephant God "One of Yahweh's biblical titles, Lord of Hosts, was derived from the elephant god Ganesha, whose name means exactly the same. An early version of Yahweh and his spouse (Asthoreth) were worshipped as Bull and Cow Elephants (see early synagogues mosaics depicting the elephants (God of Hosts -- symbolising the unity of the creative female/male, yin/yang, principles), a goose laying a golden egg (symbolizing the Holy Spirit, Amun, Amen, space/breathing (in & out)), and the lions (symbol of power and the kingdom/tribe of Judah)) by Jewish mercenaries of the fifth century B.C. at Elephantine on the Nile. The Indian elephant god Ganesha impregnated the Virgin Goddess Maya (represented by the constellation of Virgo), who subsequently gave birth to Buddah (means 'enlightened'). The same Virgin Goddess passed into China as Moye, mother of the primal culture hero Fu-Hi or Fu-Hsi; the white elephant god impregnated her by surrounding her with a magic rainbow as she walked near a river. In the West, the Virgin Goddess impregnated by the Lord of Hosts became the Greek's Maia, mother of Hermes the Enlightened One, and of course her more familiar Christian counterpart as well (see Mary, means 'beloved' in ancient Egyptian). Elephants were considered symbols of powerful sexual energy (kundalini) in ancient India. Shiva (the destroyer/change) sometimes took the form of an elephant or became the father of an elephant-headed Divine Child. Similarly, Krishna (the 8th reincarnation of Vishnu (the maintainer/nature/nurture) could metamorphose into an elephant in conjunction with his highly sexed consort Radha, whose name means "She-elephant." The famous "white elephant" (usually painted) of Hindu sacred ritual represented "the dormant sexual energy of the living power." The elephant-headed Ganesha was Christianized as the elephant-headed demon Behemoth, still represented sexual energy. Despite such diabolization, medieval traditions continued to regard elephant ivory as a powerful magic. A war norn made of such ivory was mentioned in the Chanson de Roland, where it was called an "oliphant." Similar "horns of ivory" figured largely in other medieval romances about knightly battles."*6 Thus, when we continue to read the II Corinthians 4:3 "But if our gospel ('good news') be hid, it is hid to them that are lost." (the lost souls) 4:4 "In whom the god (lower case indicating a pagan idol) of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, least the light of the glorious gospel of Christ ('anointed/enlightened mind'), who is the image (reflection) of God (the host/body), should shine unto them. The Satan, or Satana, is an adversary to one's coming to self-realization and enlightenment, also represents the anger, the sixth deadly sin, according to the Catholic tradition, with the opposite virtue being the patience, followed by the diligence, that are needed to aid the God of Hosts to address the various needs and functions of the body/community temples on God's good earth. Amen/Amun is the hidden god, the space, aka the Holy Spirit, spiritus in Latin means to breathe, animating the inner and outer space of which one is always a centre, as the God of Hosts & the Goddess of Nature yin/yang, symbolically traditionally represented by the elephants. As an old proverb says, which William Blake have used, "the universe has its centre everywhere and its circumference nowhere." now, now+here=nowhere. The centre is a point of reference and the physical body indicates where it is in the here and now, while the mind, the consciousness, is free to project into the past and the future. The consciousness is to aid the needs of the body in the present moment, since the conscious mind is only aware of two to three thousands pieces of information out of six to seven billion registering every moment in the subconsciousness. Hence the gates of perception, the pineal gland, is where it narrows down to the most important items that the consciousness, the "Christ," should be aware of, about the priorities dealing with the basic needs and critical survival systems. Thus, metaphorically speaking in Christian esoteric gnosticism terms, the pineal gland "gates of perception" would be represented by the St. Peter's gates, where Peter means the rock, referring to the brain, and prior to becoming Peter he was known as Simeon, meaning to listen in Hebrew. Therefore one needs to listen, obedience, as in child to a parent, or an apprentice to a master, learning and gaining knowledge through direct experience, accumulating the wisdom about life and the rules governing it, before making the important decisions, braking the rules, or making new ones.
